Goodbye Swagger: removing the last remnants

Hello space-friends,

Last year we made the change from Swagger to OpenAPI. This wasn't an easy job for some, so we're really happy to see most of you made the switch!

That means it's finally time to remove the remaining Swagger specs, and say a heartfelt goodbye to Swagger. This blog post kicks that off.

On Tuesday 11 August 2026, both /_latest/swagger.json and /latest/swagger.json will start returning a 404. From that moment on, OpenAPI is the only way to get the ESI specifications.

After this post goes out, we'll reach out to the handful of users still using the Swagger specs in an automated way. For most of them it's simply a matter of upgrading your library or application to the latest version, and you're good to go.

Any concerns or questions about this removal? Find us on the official EVE Online Discord in #3rd-party-dev-and-esi-chat.

Cheers,

Your friendly developers of the EVE Swagger Incineration (working title)
