Thinking too hard: rollback of the AI-powered fit recommendations

We’re rolling back the recently announced AI-powered fit recommendation route. GET /fleets/{fleet_id}/recommended-fit is no longer available as of the 2025-04-02 compatibility date.
Shortly after release, we found that the AI model refused to recommend Drake fits in the overwhelming majority of cases. After analyzing fleet composition and context, it consistently concluded that the optimal Drake fit was not bringing a Drake at all.
Rejection rates exceeded 99%.
Although this indicates that the reasoning model was operating with a high level of conviction, it also made the new route substantially less useful than intended. We’ll share more updates once the team is allowed to touch the release button again.
